This 20 minute CD contains a series of narrated, screen capture tutorials that demonstrate:

How to convert your newsletter into a PDF file

How to create the hyperlinks to it on your newsletter page

How to save updated pages correctly as html files

How to upload files to the server that hosts your school's website.

This CD is included in the web design package.

Addressing VELS ICT Outcomes Series

Currently available for schools is a series of four step by step, narrated screen capture tutorial CDs.

The series is designed to assist teachers to address VELS ICT outomes in the middle school through the use of Microsoft Office programs.
The series contains over 20 mini tutorials and includes support files in the form of lesson ideas and resources. Each of the CDs runs for approx 20mins.

Series cost: $150
Sold individually: $50
A whole school site licence is available at a small additional cost.

Will the Ultranet replace existing school websites?

No.
The Ultranet will include a school portal that can be customised to reflect school colours and logos. However this site will only be available to the school community, not the wider public.

Therefore, schools may choose to maintain their existing school websites so that the prospective students, parents and staff have access to school information.

Staff PD in Web Management

"One of the biggest problems Principals find is once they have a web site they are unable to update it and it inevitably goes stale."

Some ways to keep your school website looking fresh:

Have Web Feats embed or link a Google Calendar to your site that you can update yourself so it reflects the most current events happening in your school
Have Web Feats set up a latest news link on the Home page for content that you can then manage and update yourself
Have Web Feats replace out of date images with current images every three years

Web Feats can provide on site PD to your school in ways to maximise the use of your school’s existing software to address outcomes within the VELS ICT Domain for the Middle Years.

PD is available for small groups, teams, KLDs or Individuals

Small group PD costs for teams or KLAs

For a two hour session a minimum of 6 people is preferred however this is negotiable for small schools.
Cost: $30.00 per person

For a two hour session of between 7 and 12 participants
Cost: $200

For individual tuition
Cost: $40.00 per hour
